Julia is a Cape Town born international artist - she studied at Edinburgh College of Art and her work may be found in private collections in South Africa, France, the USA, UAE, Peru, Uruguay, Wales, England and Scotland. An experienced event manager, she regularly manages her own pop up venue at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has a studio gallery in Central Edinburgh where she is open all year round by appointment.
Julia's work has been featured in the Homes & Interiors Scotland many times and she has had her work displayed at the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) Open Exhibition numerous times.
Whilst a jazz singer for many years, Julia has always loved to draw and to paint. She paints life affirming dreamlike landscapes from her collective memory. They are mood enhancing and seem to affect the viewer at a pre-conscious level and in mysterious ways.
