Art Cushion Factsheet

We have several designs on offer,  one in Linen and three designs in Luxury Velvet.

The Linen Art Cushion

Currently we have only one design in linen:
  1. Stonehaven - The design is inspired by the north eastern Scottish coast line and the River Dee in Aberdeenshire.  These cushions are made up using fabric on both sides, back and front. We make bespoke lampshades in this fabric so do get in touch via email if this is something you wish to explore.

The Luxury Velvet Art Cushion

We have several designs in Velvet and our cushions come in 3 sizes:
  1. Juxtaposition - The design is taken from Julia’s “Juxtaposition II” painting,
  2. Town & Country - from a large abstract painting on canvas, with an orange or black cotton Twill backing, depending on your preference. A bright "bauble trim" may be added upon request.
  3. Purple Haze - The design is taken from Julia’s recent “Purple Haze” painting, named after a song by the legendary guitarist, Jimi Hendrix. They have a black cotton Twill backing.
Our Velvet cushions are made from Cotton Velvet (front) and typically a black cotton twill (back). These covers should be treated with care.

Caring For Your unique Art Cushion

Our Art Cushions are made using our Art Fabric, so that each design is derived from one of Julia’s paintings. Our limited edition luxury fabrics are printed in Glasgow using a sophisticated digital print process. The printed colours are exceptionally vivid and colour fast. Using a digital process allows us to print very short runs of fabric. This allows for a particularly exclusive range of interiors accessories.

Filling Your Cushion

Do pay attention when filling your cushion.

It is important not to over stuff a cushion.

Different cushion pads are filled to a great or lesser extent.

Be careful not to strain the zipper when pushing your cushion pad into place.

You may need to ease the down or cushion stuffing into the corners of the cushion, so that these fill out to the desired extent, much like one would do with a duvet cover.

Try to avoid pointy corners or what are known as 'dog-ears'.

At all costs one does not want to draw attention away from the cushion fabric or the design statement.

Cleaning Instructions

Dry Clean only. Velvet should not be folded.
